Sara Graham is a Canadian artist currently living in Port Moody, BC. She grew up in Ottawa and received a BFA, Nova Scotia College of Art and Design (1997) and an MFA, University of Guelph (2006). Her work is in public and private collections across Canada.

Graham's work is primarily concerned with issues and ideas that surround and make up the contemporary city. Her practice is predominately rooted in drawing and one of her central activities is exploring different ways and means to transform a viewer’s perception of “place” using forms of architecture, storytelling, mapping or some or all the above.

The Spaces That Were Missed Have Been Rearranged brings together 10 years of her studio practice and her observations of the city. "The artwork in this exhibition is informed by my daily observations of the urban form, and how spaces and places interpolate as one moves through them and where points of views are constantly shifting and revealing new perspectives". (SG) Fata Morgana is a new body of work about Vancouver created for this exhibition. Fata Morgana is a type of mirage, which produces multiple overlapping images that actively change and distort creating the deceptive appearance of distant objects. The exhibition includes photography, drawing, collage and maquettes.

Sara Graham takes a cross-disciplinary approach to her practice, often employing the methods and materials of architecture and city planning. Her work proposes alternative ways of looking at the city and its parts. Using the real to construct the imagined. The results range from paper, sculpture, photography, to large scale public artworks.
