Pendulum Gallery presents recent paintings and drawings by Anselmo Swan. The paintings are inspired by the artists’ twilight observations of homes in his Vancouver neighbourhood. Representing ideas of protection, safety and serenity these works take on poignancy and resonance in the context of our social and physical isolating times. Also on view are a selection of Swan’s meticulous Graphite works; still life drawings of everyday objects that emphasise the formal and experiential aspects of translating an object into its representation.
